Sucking is almost second nature to all little ones: they can't help it! So, at Dodie , they've developed pacifiers full of comfort and reassurance to best meet this natural reflex.
Lollipop jargon
At Dodie's, lollipops are something we talk about!

- The ring : this is what allows you to grab the lollipop.
- The button : it's the round part onto which the ring snaps (it's usually decorated with a small drawing or a funny inscription... and it can even be phosphorescent!)
- The shield : this is what goes against the baby's mouth, on the outside. Ideally, it should be light and breathable.
- The teat : this is the soft, rounded part that the baby will suck on.
Anatomical pacifier and physiological pacifier: what are the differences?
During their early years, your child will have several pacifiers. Because while the natural sucking reflex appears at birth and persists for many months, it will actually change quite a bit: their palate will develop, their dexterity will soon allow them to grasp their pacifier on their own, and their teeth will appear… At Dodie, we have therefore designed pacifiers that adapt to the rhythm and needs of children.
Her first lollipop:
Ideal for newborns, the Dodie pacifier will delight babies. Featuring a thin, anatomically or physiologically shaped teat, it is specially adapted to the small mouths of newborns.
Up to 6 months (and until the end of the night):
Next up are the 0-6 month pacifiers. Their anatomical or physiological shapes come in a daytime version – with a ring for easy grasping – and a nighttime version – with a phosphorescent button that's really handy for everyday use.
From 6 to 18 months:
Between 6 and 18 months, it's mainly the size of the pacifier that will change. Slightly larger, it will adapt even better to your baby's anatomy.
After 18 months:
After 18 months, we recommend opting for a reinforced silicone teat, to withstand baby's first teeth!

The eco-designed pacifier is already available at Dodie.

We put our heads together to improve the environmental performance of pacifiers and developed the first eco-designed Dodie pacifier. Made from plant-based plastic*.
As for the packaging, it's the same story: Dodie has opted for a shell made from 30% recycled plastic, and the cardboard box is made from raw materials sourced from well-managed FSC®-certified forests and recycled materials. So yes, in 2021, you can also choose a lollipop that helps protect the future of the planet.
*93% plant-based plastic in the rigid part of the pacifier, according to ASTM D6866
GAIA : Dodie round lollipops made of natural rubber

Dodie has created the Gaïa collection : lollipops that are all round and soft with well-designed packaging*!
The round shape of the "cherry" teat is inspired by the shape of a mother's breast. Ideal for breastfed babies, our round pacifier offers a comforting sucking experience. The teat, made of natural rubber, a plant-based material, is soft and flexible.
Its shield, with its timeless look, is curved and ventilated to limit contact with the mouth and thus reduce the risk of irritation.
*Case made from 30% recycled plastic, sleeve made from 90% recycled cardboard and FSC certified
Did you know that?
Babies typically experience a peak in their sucking reflex around 22 months. After that, this reflex gradually decreases.
