Sucking is second nature to all little ones: they can't help it! So, at Dodie's, we've developed pacifiers that are full of comfort and reassurance to best meet this natural reflex.
Lollipop Jargon
At Dodie's, lollipops speak to us!

- The ring : this is what allows you to catch the pacifier
- The button : this is the circle on which the ring clicks (it is generally decorated with a small drawing or a funny inscription... and it can even be phosphorescent!)
- The shield : This is what comes against the baby's mouth, on the outside. It's best when it's light and airy.
- The nipple : this is the soft, rounded part that the baby will suck on
Anatomical pacifier and physiological pacifier: what are the differences?
Throughout their life as a baby, your child will have several pacifiers. Because while the natural sucking reflex appears from birth and persists for many months, it will actually change quite a bit: their palate will evolve, their agility will soon allow them to grab their pacifier on their own, and their teeth will appear... At Dodie, we have therefore designed pacifiers that match the rhythm and needs of children.
His first lollipop:
Ideal for toddlers, the Dodie birth pacifier will delight babies. Featuring a thin, anatomically or physiologically shaped teat, it is specially designed for the small mouths of newborns.
Up to 6 months (and until the end of the night):
Next, we have pacifiers for 0-6 months. Their anatomical or physiological shapes are available in a day version - with a ring to make them easy to grasp - and a night version - with a phosphorescent button that is really practical for everyday use.
From 6 to 18 months:
Between 6 and 18 months, it's mainly the size of the pacifier that will change. Slightly larger, it will adapt even better to your baby's shape.
After 18 months:
After 18 months, we recommend opting for a reinforced silicone nipple, to help withstand baby's first teeth!

The eco-designed pacifier is already at Dodie's

We racked our brains to improve the environmental performance of pacifiers and develop the first eco-designed Dodie pacifier. Made from plant-based plastic*.
On the packaging side, it's the same story: Dodie has opted for a shell made from 30% recycled plastic, and the cardboard case is made from raw materials from well-managed FSC®-certified forests and recycled materials. So yes, in 2021, we can also choose a pacifier that helps protect the future of the planet.
*93% plant-based plastic on the rigid part of the pacifier, according to ASTM D6866 standard
GAIA: Dodie round pacifiers made from natural rubber

Dodie designed the Gaïa collection: round and soft lollipops with well-designed packaging*!
The round shape of the "cherry" nipple is inspired by the shape of a mother's breast. Ideal for breastfed babies, our round pacifier provides comforting suction. The nipple, made of natural rubber, a plant-based material, is soft and flexible.
Its shield, with its timeless look, is curved and ventilated to limit contact with the mouth and thus reduce the risk of irritation.
*Shell made from 30% recycled plastic, case made from 90% recycled cardboard and FSC certified
Did you know?
Babies typically have a peak sucking reflex around 22 months. After that, this reflex will gradually decline.
