If you've bitten off more than you can chew when preparing Baby's meal, here are a few tips for storing any uneaten food. We'll cover timing and the best containers…

Preparing large quantities of baby food is very convenient so you don't have to cook every day. However, a few rules must be followed to the letter to avoid any problems:

  • Any leftover food that has been in contact with a baby's mouth should always be thrown away. This is because it can contain bacteria.
  • You can reheat a dish only once to serve it again.
  • If you're freezing portions to serve later, be sure to put the food in the freezer as soon as it's cooled. Remember to clearly label the packaging with the contents and the freezing date. Ideally, these purees shouldn't be frozen for more than 3 months before serving them to your baby. And, just like with us adults, never refreeze a thawed meal!

Regarding GOOD GOÛT baby food , we advise you to serve only a portion to start, then adjust according to your little one's appetite! This allows you to save the rest to serve them again the next day.

Once the pouch is opened, the contents can be kept for 48 hours in the refrigerator, in an airtight container.

You can use glass storage containers with plastic lids. But our personal favorite is these super healthy 18/8 stainless steel containers (BPA-free), which keep Baby's food intact, without any unwanted particle migration: the Kids Konserve containers .

Warning: they are not microwave safe.
