From 8 or 10 months old, most babies have only one thing on their minds: to bite into life with gusto! To satisfy their thirst for discovery (and their legendary sweet tooth), we have imagined organic biscuits specially designed for toddlers.
When to start giving baby their first biscuits?
Babies' first teeth usually appear between 5 and 10 months. Eight months is therefore an ideal age to start introducing biscuits and discovering new textures and flavors. Your baby can thus begin teething while enjoying the act of chewing! However, it's important to follow a few guidelines before giving them their first boudoir biscuit or banana square.
Your baby needs to:
- Sitting up all by himself in his high chair
- Already used to eating bread and small dishes with soft pieces
- Having already two teeth
In any case, at Good Goût, we know that all children develop at their own pace. If you have any doubts, don't hesitate to consult your doctor.
How to choose a biscuit for a baby?
In the biscuit aisle, it's easy to get overwhelmed. Especially when you're looking for recipes suitable for children. Let's face it, there's almost always something wrong: too dense, too soft, too sweet, too many crumbs, too many strange ingredients... Ladyfingers, for example, are often made (among other things) of sugar, a single grain, eggs, and vegetable oil. This seemingly simple recipe is less nutritionally complete than our biscuits. Ladyfingers also contain a lot of sugar. On average, 100g of ladyfingers contains between 25g and 33g, which is 12% of the recommended daily sugar intake in a very small amount of food.
At Good Goût, we racked our brains to offer babies a range of good organic biscuits that offers a wide variety of tastes and shapes, adapted to the needs, little hands and teeth of babies from 8 months old.
What kind of biscuit is suitable for an 8-month-old baby?
From 8 months old, your baby is ready to bite into their first biscuit! But not just any biscuit: a biscuit adapted to their needs and specially designed for teething. The texture of our squares is similar to that of a soft rusk. At first, your baby will experience a slightly crunchy texture, then, upon contact with their saliva, our squares will become softer and gradually melt in their mouth.
Its texture is therefore ideal and specifically designed for your baby to chew and suck on, gently helping their teeth come in! With less than 1g of sugar per serving* and a fruity flavor, your baby will love them!
If your little one isn't quite ready to chew our cute little squares, you can also crumble them into a small bowl of baby food or a fruit pouch. You can also ask your pediatrician for advice!
*One portion is equivalent to 3 squares!
What kind of biscuit is suitable for a 10-month-old baby?
From 10 months old:
- Our round vanilla biscuits (44% less sugar*) and cocoa biscuits (36% less sugar*), which are designed in a ring shape for teething.
- Our lemon-flavored animal-shaped biscuits support a great cause: saving Botswana's elephants! They're also 40% less sweet*
- Our Mini baguettes, shaped like small sticks, are perfect for easy handling... and why not for family aperitifs!
At Good Goût, we are fully aware that the development and independence of toddlers between 10 and 14 months of age varies greatly from child to child. Because we closely monitor your feedback and want to offer products that best meet your child's physiological needs, our quality and innovation teams are currently studying a new age recommendation for the consumption of mini-baguettes. We will keep you informed of our progress on this matter as soon as possible.

What are the ingredients of Good Goût biscuits?
In our baby biscuits, you won't find any strange ingredients, palm oil, additives, colours, preservatives, or even added sugars! Instead, we use fruit juices, which contain only the sugars naturally present in the fruit.
And as always at Good Goût, they're organic. Whether for a mid-morning snack, afternoon tea, dessert, or to share a convivial moment with family, our biscuits are full of promise!
