Ingredients

  • 50g of short-grain rice (dessert rice)
  • 450ml of water (low mineral content)
  • 15 scoops ofGood Goût Stage 3 infant formula
  • 1 vanilla pod or a pinch of natural vanilla powder (optional)

Make sure to use clean kitchen utensils when making this recipe.

Instructions

1. Preparation of Infant Milk

In a saucepan, pour 450ml of (low-mineral) water and 15 scoops of Good Goût organic growing-up milk and mix. Then split a vanilla pod in half lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with the tip of a knife. Add the seeds and the vanilla pod to the infant formula. Heat until it just begins to simmer.

2. Cooking Rice

Add the 50 grams of rice to the simmering (infant) milk and cook over medium-low heat for about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally during cooking to prevent the mixture from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

3. Checking the Cooking

Turn off the heat when the (infant) milk just covers the rice and the rice is very soft. Taste to check that the texture is suitable for your baby.

4. Cooling

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, you can transfer the infant rice pudding into small baby food jars or airtight, previously sterilized containers.

5. Service

Serve the rice pudding (infant formula) to your baby at room temperature or slightly warm. Be sure to test the temperature before giving it to your baby.

Tips and Tricks

Storage: Rice pudding (for infants) must be kept refrigerated and consumed quickly.

Variations: You can add a little fruit puree (like banana or apple puree) to vary the flavors.

Texture: If your baby prefers a smoother texture, you can blend the (infant) rice pudding before serving.

The ingredients used in this recipe must be suitable for infants from a food safety perspective. This recipe is intended for babies 10 months and older and should not be used as a substitute for infant formula. Always consult your pediatrician before introducing any new foods into your baby's diet.
